Making reflection work

Reflection by default captures both of the Alt keys, and reverses the backspace and delete keys. This has a number of aggravating effects:

  1. You can't use any of the key bindings in emacs properly
  2. The backspace key doesn't work
  3. The delete key probably doesn't work either
  4. That sort of thing.

To smack Reflection into compliance, go to the keyboard config tab and uncheck the "Reserve alt keys for windows" buttons and the "Backspace is delete" button.

Should be:

Also, a few other things about Reflection:

  1. The fonts are totally broken
  2. It crashes so much, you'd think it's a Microsoft product
  3. It displays icons wrong in various programs such as Window Maker
  4. It's rather slow
  5. It tends to get conflused about window stacking order

Beautiful, isn't it?

Solution: Use a Linux workstation. Currently there's only one: akagai
